Staying at the Lindens
In 2020 Christopher and Bita bought the Lindens, a seventeenth century farmhouse in the Lowther Valley on the eastern fringes of Cumbria's Lake District National Park. Since then, they have turned it into a comfortable and elegant home that reflects the personalities and tastes of its owners. Now they are opening the doors of the Lindens - with its superb examples of Bita's work, family heirlooms and atmosphere of creativity, colour and fun - to selected guests for short term lets. If you love a warm farmhouse kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and the kind of eclectic book collection that you would expect from the founder of the Lake District Book Festival - and all this set within one of the most beautiful landscapes in England - the Lindens may be for you.
The Lindens boasts three double bedrooms, three bathrooms and accepts up to six guests with no children or dogs.
